Auto Pilot - Dreaming Real
Things
(2007, SynGate

The
roots of Adrian Collier aka Auto Pilot
can be traced as far back as 1992 in the form of 5 piece electro rock outfit
'the Fokker Pilots' formed around Adrian's music. In 95, adopting a more
thoroughbred electronic style and dropping down to a 3 piece, 'Auto Pilot'
was born. They hit the ground running spending most of that year recording
the album (Ocearina) for a UK indie label finishing in 1996. Suggestions
were made to involve music in film but differences arose & It never got
released, despite great reviews and radio air play as far away as the USA.
The band lasted in to 97 and folded seeing Adrian quit music altogether
pursuing a career in web design.2008 brings one more E=motion release: 'Drifting Loops' - an original
mixture of styles from Berlin School to post-rock, created in a more
relaxed mood, with freedom from stylistic restrictions.
Leaping to the year 2005
& a fellow musician + very close friend is lost forever - David (Munk)
Youel - It was a conversation between the two drawing parallels of
unfulfilled potential that prompted Adrian to realize there is unfinished
business and an injustice in existence by not reviving Auto Pilot and
continue that unfinished journey, this time the right direction & with a
promise to keep.
